The Fleetwood trawler RED FALCON was heading for her home port after a fishing trip when she was engulfed by huge seas in the area of the South Minch, near Skerryvore on 15th December 1959. Nothing was seen of her or her 19 crew again.
She Started life as the Hull trawler DAVY and then the CAPE BARFLEUR until 1954 when she was re-named RED FALCON.

The painting shows the RED FALCON running before heavy seas.
