The Grimsby trawler PHILIPPEAN was built as a Castle class trawler, the THOMAS ALLEN, in 1920 at Beverley. She was re-named THEOPHILE MASSART, then MILFORD PRINCE and finally PHILIPPEAN when she was bought by the Onward Steam Fishing Company in December 1950.

She fished the Faeroe grounds as well as the North Sea. In 1960 she went for scrap.
