The steam trawler NORTHERN JEWEL had the distinction of carrying the registration of GY 1, only the third trawler to do so. She was originally to be called the KOPANES for the Rinovia Steam Fishing Company, Grimsby, but was bought on the stocks by Northern Trawlers. The painting shows her starboard working side as she steams along in still waters.. She was scrapped in October 1978.
